The Gospel Music Association (GMA) has announced the second round of performing artists for the 53nd Annual GMA Dove Awards. In addition to previously announced performers, the night will also include Anne Wilson, Blessing Offor, Brooke Ligertwood, DOE, Maverick City Music, Social Club Misfits, Steven Malcolm, Steven Curtis Chapman, TobyMac and a special Southern Gospel tribute featuring Karen Peck of Karen Peck & New River, High Road and Kim Hopper of The Hoppers. The GMA Dove Awards will air exclusively on TBN and the TBN app, Friday, October 21st at 8:00 p.m. ET and 10:00 p.m. ET, with an encore presentation on October 28th, 2022 at 8:00p.m. ET and 10:00p.m. ET and simulcasting on SiriusXM The Message.
DAYWIND MUSIC GROUP RELAUNCHES THOROUGHBRED RECORDS
Daywind Music Group, home to top Gospel labels Daywind Records and New Day Records and upstart mainstream bluegrass label Billy Blue Records, is relaunching Thoroughbred Records, a bluegrass Gospel label with historic ties to the genre. Thoroughbred’s first signing is Chosen Road which debuts with a brand-new upcoming album titled Appalachian Christmas featuring the veteran group along with several artist friends including Selah, Point of Grace, and more.
BILLY BLUE ARTISTS HONORED AND FEATURED AT 33RD ANNUAL IBMA BLUEGRASS AWARDS
Artists and recordings from Billy Blue Records, one of today’s premier bluegrass music labels, were honored with three wins and multiple nominations and performances at the 33rd Annual IBMA Bluegrass Music Awards held at the Duke Energy Center in Raleigh, NC, on Thursday, September 29th. Dolly Parton’s “In the Sweet By and By” featuring Jerry Salley, Larry Cordle, Carl Jackson, and Bradley Walker from the Salley-produced Country Faith Bluegrass album took home two trophies for Gospel Recording of the Year and Collaborative Recording of the Year, while Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver was named Vocal Group of the Year. Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers, Doyle Lawson, and Alan Bibey all played key roles in the show’s performances and presentations, joining together to celebrate the induction of Mullins’ father, Paul “Moon” Mullins, into the IBMA Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame.

Newsboys' album, STAND (Deluxe) is available now. The tournament brought together friends from sports, entertainment, and corporate America for a day of fun at the prestigious Governors Club.
