NASHVILLE, Tenn. (May 19, 2023) – Wood Box Heroes, a melding of American-acoustic and Bluegrass musicians Barry Bales, Jenee Fleenor, Josh Martin, Matt Menefee, and Seth Taylor, is set to make their Grand Ole Opry debut on August 5th. The comprised talent of this supergroup, of which has racked up numerous GRAMMY, IBMA, CMA, ACM and other industry-recognized honors, is gearing up for a solid tour in support of the EP. Lead singer and guitarist of the group, Josh Martin said, "I think I'm speaking for all of us when I say that it is such an honor to share any stage, let alone the Grand Ole Opry stage, with this ensemble! A total 'somebody pinch me' moment for sure. We've all worked so hard in our respective lanes of this crazy business and to see this come together and how perfectly each musician fits into the whole picture making up the Wood Box Heroes is unbelievably gratifying."
Jenee Fleenor added, "I've been playing music professionally for over 22 years now, and I have to say, this is the most rewarding musical project I've ever been a part of. It has always been a dream of mine to be in a band like this, an ‘all star cast’ cast of sorts, and to see it come to fruition with not only the most amazing musicians, but most amazing people is an incredible blessing! I love the Grand Ole Opry so much, I can hardly believe I can say I’ve played that stage countless times! Each time is so very special but to debut on that stage with my new band, the Wood Box Heroes? My heart is bursting with pure joy!”
